Less is MORE

Steve Jobs離世，有點突然，卻又不令人震驚。
只是，有點傷感。

喜歡蘋果產品可能是因為潮流，但我真正欣賞的是他的精神。 他在2005年於Standford University對畢業生的演講，讓我覺得他真是個極有感染力的人。
沒有完成大學的他，沒有用過一個艱深的字，卻切切實實說出年青人應該追求的事和應有的勇氣。
沒有認識Steve Jobs背景的人，看到蘋果產品或許只會覺得 “型” "潮”。
但了解他的出生、設計Mac電腦、建立蘋果和pixar的經歷後，你看到蘋果產品的時候，感覺會不一樣。他不是為潮流而設計，而是將他對生命的熱愛和看法放進設計。

蘋果產品的簡約風格，是他在印度修行後才建構的。
簡潔，乾浮俐落，沒有一點多餘的裝飾，那不是「潮」，是態度。 

曾經給自己建立的公司「炒魷魚」，經歷癌症後，他對Standford的畢業生說：

"Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle."

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."
